About Floris van den Ende
During his Bachelor's in Physics in Amsterdam, Floris van den Ende's passion for the piano grew into the decision to devote himself entirely to music. He studied with Julien Libeer at the LUCA School of Arts in Leuven and is also mentored by Nelson Delle-Vigne-Fabbri. He attended masterclasses with renowned pianists such as Leif Ove Andsnes, Cyprien Katsaris and Michel Béroff. He is currently studying for his Master of Music degree at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague with David Kuyken. In 2021 Floris was selected as one of the six young jury members of the Queen Elisabeth Competition. In 2023 he took part in the International Angela Hewitt Masterclass, where he was coached intensively by Angela Hewitt, and in 2024 he won third prize in the master category of the Concours Andrée Charlier. He recently gave recitals in Norway, Germany, Italy, Poland, Belgium and the Netherlands, among others. As a teacher, Floris puts discovery and joy first. With a personal approach he searches together with each student for the beauty of music and for what excites the student most. He also values playfully developing a well-grounded musical foundation, so students can express themselves ever more freely on their instrument. His lessons combine technical and musical growth with curiosity, creativity and the joy of playing.
